Where does the title foto of the Society derives from?

The title foto displays a cherry flower,

arbuscular mycorrhizae,

the diversity of rose hips and the

snapping mechanism of a venus flytrap. This illustrates how diverse the scientific botanical fields as well as the locations are in which the members of the Society are working in. Therefore the DBG supports the foundation of

sections in which scientists of special disciplines are organized in.
