Diversity of Rose Hips

These are all rose hips. Some of them are smoth, others are prickly; some of them are oval and others are round. They were collecterd by Volker Wissemann, Speaker of the Section Biodiversity and Evolution. To discover, describe and analyze the diversity of organisms in scientific ways is one of the objectives the DBG encourages. The society therefore supports the Initiative Taxonomie (pdf-file, 0,2 MB, in German).
