Support of young scientists

To support joung researchers is an important objective of our society.

Prizes

For outstanding scientific research the DBG awards prizes to young scientists. The society wants to attract the attention to these scientific results and hopes to promote the career of awarded scientists.

Travel Allowances

On application the DBG gives travel allowances to students and young scientists without full employment presenting an oral paper or a poster at the congress "Botanikertagung". The applicants must be members of the DBG. They are asked to send their applications to the board of the DBG. The deadlines concerning the travel allowances are announced in the intranet.

International Exchange

The society supports the RISE program (Research Internship in Science and Engineering) of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD): young scientists from abroad and Great Britain do research at a Germany university together with German Ph.D. candidates.
